Sampling frequency select switch
Set this to match the sampling frequency of your digital playback device and the sampling
frequency of your sequencer software or the audio data you are playing back.
Normally, you will select 48 kHz or 44.1 kHz for DAT, and 44.1 kHz for MD or CD. For details,
refer to the owner's manual for your digital audio device and sequencer software.
* After you change the position of the sampling frequency select switch, you will need to disconnect and
reconnect the UA-1EX.
Recording source select switch
Set this to DIGITAL.
* Turn down the volume of your connected monitor speakers (or similar equipment) before you change the
setting of the recording source select switch.
Other notes
• The UA-1EX complies with SCMS. If the audio data that is input from the digital input connector
contains copy-prohibit flags (as will be the case if you recorded an MD from a CD), the UA-1EX
will not allow this data to be recorded on your computer. (The sound will be output from the line
output jacks and headphone jack.)
