Playing back the sample data
We will use standard Macintosh functionality to play back the sample data provided on the
included CD-ROM.
* Use of the song data supplied with this product for any purpose other than private, personal enjoyment without
the permission of the copyright holder is prohibited by law. Additionally, this data must not be copied, nor used
in a secondary copyrighted work without the permission of the copyright holder.
1. Prepare the CD-ROM.
Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of your Macintosh.
2. From the Sample folder of the CD-ROM, drag Alright(.wav) to your desktop, copying it.
3. Set the UA-1EX's Sampling frequency select switch to 44.1kHz.
* If you've changed the sampling frequency, disconnect the UA-1EX, and then reconnect it.
4. Start up the QuickTime Player, which is included with Mac OS.
The QuickTime Player is normally located in QuickTime within the Applications folder of the
hard disk.
5. Open the Alright file you copied.
6. Play back the sample data.
Click the play button. The sample data playback will be output from headphones or speakers
connected to the UA-1EX's headphone jack or line output jacks.
* If the record source select switch is set to DIGITAL and a digital signal is being received at the digital input
connector, audio data from the Macintosh cannot be played back. Please set the switch to ANALOG.
* If it did not play back correctly, refer to "Troubleshooting" (p. 55) to determine the reason. This section
contains information on how to solve problems such as no sound, or failure to play back correctly.
Was the sample data played back?
If it was played back correctly, this means that the computer and the UA-1EX are connected
correctly, and that the drivers have been installed correctly.
