You must use a mic that supports plug-in power. This jack provides a 3.3 V power supply. Use the guitar/mic input adjustment slider ( ) to adjust the volume.

    A “driver” is software that transfers data between the UA-3FX and application software running on your computer, when your computer and the UA-3FX are connected by a USB cable. The driver sends data from your application to the UA-3FX, and from the UA- 3FX to your application.

    When the Recording source select switch is set to DIGITAL, it is not possible to play back audio data from your computer. Set the switch to ANALOG. Was the sample data played back? If it was played back correctly, this means that the computer and the UA-3FX are connected correctly, and that the drivers have been installed correctly.

    A “driver” is software that transfers data between the UA-3FX and application software running on your computer, when your computer and the UA-3FX are connected by a USB cable. The driver sends data from your application to the UA-3FX, and from the UA-3FX to your application.

    Most mics are either dynamic mics or condenser mics; either type of mic can be connected to the UA-3FX. The UA-3FX also supports “plug-in powered mics,” a type of miniature condenser mic designed for connection to the mic input of a computer or the recording jack of an MD (Mini Disc) recorder.

Three types of digital effect are provided, and these can be applied while you play back sound or record from a mic or guitar. You can use the four knobs to easily adjust the character of the effect that is applied to the mic, guitar, or the sound from the line inputs or digital input.
