USING THE TEST SET AS A MONITOR FOR THE INSTATION PC

Exit from any software currently being used on the test set PC. At the C: prompt,
type TERM <CR>. This will activate the batch file TERM.BAT (which should be in
the top level directory C:\ when copied from the ITS software master disk), which
in turn will activate the STC terminal emulator CTERM.
Now switch Handset/Test Set switch to handset, then connect cable
667/7/15998/101 from the 25 way handset port on the test set, to the serial port on
the Instation PC.
If using to assist fault diagnosis, take the Instation PC keyboard and Press H to
get the help screens listing up (this should now appear on the test set PC screen)
now choose help/diagnostic screens as required.
If using to provide a monitor for the PC whilst installing software/hardware into the
TC12 Instation PC connect as above and then refer to installation process for
TC12 Instation. Installation prompts and choices should be displayed on the test
set PC screen when connected like this.
