2.2.7.4 Transformer PCB to BT cable
Figure 14 shows the cable terminations for connection to the MDF.
Two identical cables are used (part number 667/1/22654/001). These connect to
PL1 and PL3 on the appropriate Transformer PCB. The cable connected to PL1
connects all the OTUs associated with modems 1 and 2. The cable connected to
PL3 connects all the OTUs associated with modems 3 and 4. Each of the two
cables is a 20 pair cable with up to 16 pairs actually used. Refer to drawing
667/GA/22654/001 for wire colours etc.
If only one modem (of the four available on a modem PCB) is being used then a
10 pair cable can be used, part number 667/1/22654/000. Refer to drawing
667/GA/22654/000 for wire colours associated with particular connector pins.
If the 10 pair cable is used then the following two connections are possible:
1) 10 Pair cable connected to PL1:
Modem 2 only used with pair
2) 10 Pair cable connected to PL3:
Modem 4 only used with pair
BT cable tool, part number 667/7/22648/000 is used when installing the cable.
