13. Adjust the copy density manually when copying originals that have a solid
image at the leading edge. For such originals, the Auto Image Density
function might select an improper copy density.
14. Use only recommended paper. To avoid copier malfunctions, do not use
the following types of copy paper:
Torn, creased, or wavy paper
Perforated paper
Coated paper
Aluminum foil
Fragile paper
Rough or gritty paper
Carbon paper
Thermal paper
15. When the main switch is in the Stand-by position, the anti-condensation
heater is on. In case of an emergency, unplug the machine's power cord.
16. Do not incinerate toner or toner containers. Toner dust might ignite when
exposed to open flame.
17. Replenish paper in the sheet feeder unit only when the Paper End indica-
tor lights. Sheets left too long in the sheet feeder absorb moisture, which
may cause jams or multiple feeds. This is especially true of translucent
paper.
18. When copying on film, remove each sheet as soon as it is fed out of the
copier. This is because film sheets are hot after they exit the machine and
may warp or curl if stacked.
19. Do not store toner where it will be exposed to heat.
Important
20. Do not eat or swallow toner.
