4. When the Original Misfeed Indicator
The original is misfed. Removal depends on where the original is misfed.
Check where the misfed original is and remove it.
Warning: Do not touch any parts not specified in the following
procedures. Some parts are hot or carry high voltage.
Remove the misfed original without tearing it. Remaining bits of paper will cause more
misfeeds and may eventually cause a serious failure. If you tear the paper when removing
it, make sure to remove all the torn pieces.
If originals misfeed repeatedly, call your service representative.
4-1. When the misfed original is inside the original feed unit
is Lit
1. Lift the original feed unit until it locks
in position.
2. Remove the original.
