Setting Up SATA RAID or AHCI Modes
AHCI Mode
Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) is an interface specification that allows
the storage driver to enable advanced serial ATA features such as Native Command
Queuing (for maximum hard disk efficiency and performance). AHCI mode can be
supported by one or two hard disks.
RAID
You may use your hard disks (if you have included more than one hard disk in your
purchase option) in combination with Striping (RAID 0) or Mirroring (RAID 1) for
either fault tolerance or performance (see
your system in Striping (RAID 0) or Mirroring (RAID 1) modes you will require at
least two hard disks.
