Jack
The headphone
jack lets you connect optional
headphones
to listen to the sound from the
TV. Plugging
in headphones
will not auto-
matically
mute the sound from the TV. This
can be used to listen to the main picture or
PIP at the same Lime others are listening to the
TV. If the plug on your headphones
does not
fit this jack, adapters
are available
from your
local electronics
supply store
Power
Indicator
'The power indicator
lights whenever
the TV
is turned on.
Turns off when a remote button is pressed.
MENU
Shows menus on screen.
Exits menus.
CH • and • (Channel
up and down)
Moves up and down through channels
in the
TV channel scan list
Moves up and down menus
VOL + and - (Volume
up and down)
Raises and lowers sound.
Moves left and right in the menu system.
Selects highlighted
items in the menus.
POWER
Turns the TV on or off.
Remote
Control
Sensor
Receives
commands
from
the ]:emote.
When
using
a remote,
point
it toward
this sensor.
On.Screen
Displays
Your TV shows the settings
of several features on the screen.
To see what features
have been set on your TV, press DSPY.
Antenna
A or B
Indicates
you are watching
whatever
you
have connected
to the Ant A or B input on the
back of the TV such as cable, antenna
or a
component.
Channel
Logo or Label
Name you chose to describe the channel.

Channel
number
you are watching.
Clock
Icon
A program
timer has been set.
Closed
Captioning
Icon
Shows you have selected Closed Captioning.
Commercial
Skip Time
The time remaining
for commercial
skip.
Headphone
Icon
If you are using Split Screen or PIP, the head-
phone sound is selected for the left channel.
HiRes/S-Video/Video
TV is tuned to whatever
you have connected
to the Video, S-Video or HiRes inputs on the
back of the TV.
Hourglass
Icon
Event Timer has been set.
Mute
Sound has been muted with MUTE button.
Power
Interruption
After a shut down or loss of power, the inter-
ruption
message
may appear on the screen.
In the first few months of operation,
it is nor-
mal for your TV to occasionally
shut down
and immediately
turn itself on again.
Stereo
The sound is beirtg broadcast
in stereo.
SAP
The sound is being broadcast
in a second
audio program
and SAP has been selected in
the Channel Audio Menu.
Sheep
Jumpi_g
Sleep Timer is sel: to turn off the TV in one
minute when the sheep start jumping
across
the screen.
Speakers
Icon
Shows which side the main audio is coming
from in Split Screen mode.
Time
of Day
Time of the clock.
Volume
Sound level of the TV.
