Removing or Replacing a Processor

If you need to remove or replace the processor (or CPU, the central processing unit), follow
these instructions to do so.
WARNING
Unplug the power supply when adding or removing a processor, any expansion cards, or
other system components. Failure to do so may cause severe damage to the system
board and its components.
The system board supports an Intel Pentium II processor running at 266 MHz, 300 MHz, or
333 MHz (66 MHz FSB), or 350 MHz, 400 MHz, or 450 MHz (100 MHz FSB).
The system board also supports an Intel Celeron Processor.

Intel Pentium II Processor

To remove the processor:
1. Turn off power to the system.
2. Open the system and, if necessary, remove the system board.
3. Disconnect the processor cooling fan power cable.
