Configuring the Video Display

Your system shipped with the video display driver set to display a resolution of 1024 x 768. If
you want to change the video display to another resolution, be sure your monitor can support
the desired resolution.
To change the video display resolution:
1. Right-click the operating system desktop and select Properties. The Display Properties
dialog displays.
2. In the Settings tab, select a resolution appropriate for your system's monitor and (if
needed) an appropriate monitor type.
3. Restart the system.
If the monitor connected to your system does not support a resolution of 1024 x 768, you can
reset the video display to another resolution.
To reset the video display resolution on a system running Windows NT:
1. Restart the system.
2. At the boot screen, select the VGA mode option for Windows NT.
3. When the system has started, log on to Windows NT.
4. Right-click the desktop and select Properties. The Display Properties dialog displays.
5. Select a resolution appropriate for your system's monitor.
6. Click Test to test the new video mode, and then click OK.
7. Restart the system.
To reset the video display resolution on a system running Windows 95 or Windows 98:
1. Restart the system.
2. When Starting Windows displays, press
3. Select the Safe Mode option, and then press
VGA resolution (640 x 480).
4. Right-click the desktop and select Properties. The Display Properties dialog displays.
5. Select a resolution appropriate for your system's monitor, and then click OK.
6. Restart the system.
8. The Windows Startup Menu displays.
