Function
User EXEC
Password-protected mode:
•Changes terminal settings
•Performs basic tests
•Displays system information
Privileged
This mode:
EXEC
•Sets system operating values
•Shows configuration parameters
•Saves/copies configurations
Global
Sets system-wide values. Save changes
after a reboot by copying the running-
configuration to the startup-configuration
Interface
Modifies/assigns port parameters on a
port-by-port basis
Router
Sets RIP, OSPF or BGP parameters
