Weight

Weight, as shown in
exchanged between routers. It is significant only locally. Higher preference is accorded the route
with a higher weight. Weight can be used to influence routes coming from different providers to
the same router (one router with multiple connections to two or more providers).

Atomic Aggregate

The XSR automatically sets the ATOMIC_AGGREGATE attribute if the aggregate that a BGP
speaker distributes is selected as less specific than a route included with it. A route with this
attribute cannot be de-aggregated (made more specific). Forwarding along such a route does not
ensure that IP packets will actually cross only AS's listed in the route's AS_PATH attribute.
