Vertical Refresh Rate

The vertical refresh rate
of your CRT is impor-
tant. If it is too low and/
or you're using fluores-
cent lighting, the screen
will appear to flicker. To
reduce flickering on a
CRT, use faster refresh
rates (we recommend a
refresh rate of 72Hz or
more). First check your
monitor's
tion to make sure it can
support the rates listed
by the video driver. The
default refresh rate for
VGA monitors (without
drivers) is 60Hz.

Attaching a Monitor (CRT)

If you prefer to use a monitor (CRT), connect it to the External Mon-
itor (CRT) port on the rear panel (see "Rear View" on page 1 - 22).
