Parallel Printer

This is still the most common type of printer.

Install Instructions:

1. Set up the printer according to its instructions (unpacking,
paper tray, toner/ink cartridge etc.).
2. Attach the parallel cable to the printer.
3. Connect the printer's parallel cable to the parallel port at the
rear of the computer (see "Rear View" on page 1 - 22).
4. Turn ON the printer.
5. Turn ON the computer.
6. Windows (some operating systems may require a driver to rec-
ognize a parallel to USB adapter) will identify the printer and
either load one of its own drivers or ask you to supply one. Fol-
low the on-screen instructions.
