Modem (Win2000)

1. Click Start (menu), point to Settings and
click Control Panel . Double-click Sys-
tem (icon) and then click Hardware
(tab) > Device Manager (button).
2. Click "+" next to Other devices (if its
sub-items are not shown).
3. Double-click PCI Device and click Rein-
stall Driver (button) and click Next .
4. When the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard
appears, select " Search for a suitable
driver for my device (recommended) "
and click Next .
5. Select ONLY (make sure the other boxes
do not have a tick inside them) " Specify
a location" , and click Next .
6. Navigate ( Browse... ) to D:\Driv-
ers\MODEM\WIN2K .
7. Click Open > OK > Next (click Yes if
asked if you want to continue at any
time).
8. Click Finish and close the open
windows.
9. Close the Smart Link 56K Voice
Modem Properties and System Proper-
ties (dialog box) . The modem is ready
for dial-up configuration.
Modem Country Selection
Be sure to check if the modem country selection
is appropriate for you. (Control Panel >Modem
Settings (icon) > Country).
