Ink on the driven
roller of the
upper paper
guide or other
paper paths.
PG is too narrow
or the paper
loaded does not
meet the
specification.
Checkpoint
Feed plain paper and
check if it gets ink
smudge.
Check the position of
the PF lever.
Check the paper
thickens.
Solution
Clean the spot
stained with the ink.
Set the PG lever to
"+".
Use the paper that
meets the
specification.
