INTR From when the Start key
(initial rotation) is pressed until the
scanner starts to move
forward.
AER From when the Start key
(AE rotation) is pressed until the
scanner finishes
measuring densuty.
SCFW While the scanner is
(scanner forward) moving forward.
SCRV While the scanner is
(scanner reverse) moving in reverse.
LSTR From when SCRV ends
(last rotation) until the main motor stops.

sensitivity in preparation
for copying operation.
Measures the density of
the original while the
scanner is moving forward.
Uses the scanning lamp to
shine the original, and
directs the reflected optical
image to the photosensitive
drum by way of mirrors
and lenses.
Returns the scanner to
home position in
preparation for the next
copying operation.
Rids the surface of the
photosensitive drum of
charges (surface potential)
as post-copying operation.
