Using Features
Barge-In
If a co-worker is on the phone or using Do Not Disturb, use
Barge-In to reach him or her in an emergency or if you have
special instructions to interrupt. When your co-worker's
extension is busy, Barge-In connects you to the call; if your
co-worker is using Do Not Disturb, the phone rings.
Barge-In is not activated on
a conference call if the conference already has the
maximum number of participants
phones that have forwarded calls by using Coverage,
Forward, or Follow Me (You hear ringing.)
phones that have Privacy in use (You hear a fast busy
signal.)
phones that are being programmed by co-workers (You
hear ringing.)
Barge-In must be programmed onto a line button by your
system manager.
To Use Barge-In
1. Place call to co-worker.
2. Press Barge-In button.
