Mass Storage Devices

The Compaq ProLiant 2500 Server contains two areas for mass storage devices: the
removable media area and the hot-pluggable or non-hot-pluggable hard drive cage.
Hot-pluggable models contain a maximum of seven, eight, or nine drive bays depending on
the drive cage option: four in the removable media area, and three, four, or five in the hot-
pluggable hard drive bays.
Non-hot-pluggable models of the Compaq ProLiant 2500 contain a maximum of eight non-
hot-pluggable drive bays: four in the removable media area, and four in the non-hot-
pluggable hard drive bays.
