Removing and replacing FRUs

Before you begin

Always practice safety first. Before removing the back cover (or performing any
removal procedures), follow these steps:
1. Turn off power.
2. Remove the power cable.
3. Place the unit on a sturdy surface.
4. Review the Appendix D, "Safety information," on page 123.

Handling static-sensitive devices

Attention:
avoid damage, keep static-sensitive devices in their static protective bags until you
are ready to install them.
To reduce the possibility of electrostatic discharge, observe the following
precautions:
v Limit your movement. Movement can cause static electricity to build up around
