Table 16: Checklist of Commissioning Tasks to Do Before Power-up
Item
Check that the power cells are installed correctly:
• Mounting screws are properly tightened to torque.
• Input/output cabling/busbars are connected correctly
and properly tightened to torque.
• Fuses and the insulators between the fuses are installed
properly at the input terminals.
• Fiber optic wires are connected properly and in the
correct order.
• Ground connections are correct and properly torqued.
• Record the position and serial number of each power
cell. For example, "U1 – MBEWJMP15105039".
Check that the fan supply cables are properly connected.
Open the transformer cabinet and check that the connec-
tions of the wiring terminals are in good condition.
Take a photo of the transformer nameplate for record.
Check that there is no conductive material on the surface
of the insulation layer.
Check that the secondary transformer wiring is correct ac-
cording to the secondary wiring diagram.
Check that the primary transformer wiring is correct ac-
cording to the primary wiring diagram.
Check that the auxiliary transformer wiring is correct ac-
cording to the primary wiring diagram.
Check that the main circuit wiring has correct clearance to
ground and no insulated MV cabling is in contact with op-
posite phases or the drive enclosure.
Check that the terminal boards on the main control box
are in the right positions.
Check that the optical fibers are connected correctly on
the control box.
Check that the temperature sensor installation is in good
condition.
Check that the installation of the voltage and current sen-
sors is correct and that the jacks of the signal wires are
firmly connected.
Make sure that the single-phase control and auxiliary
power cables are connected according to the system
schematic in a separate conduit from the MV cabling.
Torque all control and auxiliary input power cables after
they are connected.
