10 years Check that the output voltage of the UPS is 25±0.5 V DC. For reliability, replace every
10 years.
5 years Inspect the UPS battery every 6 months. For reliability, replace every 5 years.
4 years Check the high voltage electric display light and that the second locked circuit is
normal. For reliable operation, replace every 4 years.
10 years Inspect and replace based on findings.
5 years The brightness of the HMI decays over time. The lifetime depends on the use condi-
tions. Replace every 5 years.
10 years Inspect and test the emergency stop.
5 years Inspect that the indicators work normally. Replace the indicators every 5 years.
10 years Inspect for aging and check that the terminals are seated firmly.
10 years Replace the Optical cables every 10 years or based on findings. Check that the fiber
optic connections are properly seated and there are no sharp bends <35°.
5 years If available, install software upgrades for HMI, DSP, and PLC.
1 year Reform the capacitors in the power cells if stored for >1 year. If the capacitors in
power cells are stored for >2 years, reforming must be done gradually by trained ser-
vice personnel.
6 months Rotate the fans to circulate the fan bearing lubrication.
3 months Charge the spare storage battery every 3 months. If the complete drive is stored >6
months and not turned on, charge the UPS battery for 8 hours.
1 year Stock spares in the original boxes in a dry and clean environment. Avoid hot storage
areas. Electrolytic capacitors require reforming as stated in the service schedule. The
reforming action must be performed by trained service personnel.
