PROBLEM
The system does not
power on.

Troubleshooting
WHAT TO DO
If you are operating the system with battery power,
check that the battery pack is correctly inserted.
Attach the AC adapter to recharge the battery.
If you have the AC adapter attached, check that the
electrical outlet you are using works.
Check that the VersaBay Release Lever cover is
securely closed.
LCD power-saving mode, or Standby Mode has
shut off the backlight. Press any keyboard key.
The display may have been toggled to an external
monitor. Press Fn-F3 to switch the LCD back on.
Screen brightness needs adjustment. Press Fn-F5
to adjust the brightness.
The system entered Suspend mode due to preset
time-out. Press the Power button and resume
operation.
The system entered Suspend mode due to low
battery power. Plug in the AC, press the Power
button, and resume operation.
Use power-saving modes.
Fully discharge the battery and then recharge it.
Adjust the brightness using Fn-F5.
Make sure the component is securely installed or
connected. Verify that the system parameter for the
I/O port configuration is set correctly in Device
Manager.
