WINDOWS 95 INTRODUCTION

Your NEC Versa 5000 Series system comes with Microsoft
Windows 95 ready to use.
Windows 95 gives you the newest features offered by
Microsoft, including a Desktop with room to maneuver, a
Taskbar for quick navigation between open windows, plug
and play features, online networking functions, and more.
In Windows 95, the following icons are loaded on your
desktop:

My Computer — provides access to drives, printers, the
control panel, and network features.

Inbox — lets you access the Microsoft fax and mail
software as well as Microsoft network services.
T
Recycle Bin — gives you a trash container in which to
put unwanted files.
T
The Internet — lets you access an Internet Connection
Wizard to help you get set up for using the World Wide
Web.

The Microsoft Network — offers the option of signing
on for the Microsoft online service that connects you to
the Internet.

My Briefcase — allows easy file transfer between the
NEC Versa and another system.
T
Online Services — gives you a choice of online services
to set up and try out.
T
Start — displays a pop-up menu with which to start
programs and applications, opens documents, accesses
system settings, accesses online help, and shut down
your system.

NEC Versa Help Center — gives you easy access to the
online user's guide and customer service information.
