Z-Trak Family of 3D Sensors
Overview
Description
The Z-Trak™ family of 3D laser profile sensors comprises the new Z-Trak LPC2 4K Series and the Z-Trak2 2K
Series. Both series combine speed and performance with easy-to-use software to deliver highly accurate, real-
time results for a wide variety of 3D measurements and inspection applications.
The Z-Trak 3D sensors are factory calibrated and offered in a variety of models to cover a measurement range
from 15 mm up to 650 mm. They comply with A3 Vision and Imaging's GigE Vision® 2.0 and EMVA's GenICam™
3.0 (SFNC 2.3) standards, and are bundled with free, powerful software packages. All models come in IP67 rated
enclosures and are ideal for applications in electronics, PCB, wafer, flat-panel, factory automation, food
processing and secondary battery markets.
Figure 1. The Z-Trak2 2K and Z-Trak LP2C 4K Series of 3D laser profile sensors.
The Z-Trak LP2C series delivers 4K points per profile with scanning speed up to 5000 profiles per second, while
the Z-Trak2 delivers 2K points per profile at up to 45,000 profiles per second for the S-2K series, or
10,000 profiles per second for the V-2K series.
The rich set of features and in-line processing capabilities of the Z-Trak LP2C and Z-Trak2 sensors improve and
enhance profiles even with objects displaying a mix of surface reflectivity, and produce accurate, dependable 3D
measurements and inspection results. Multiple sensors can be combined in a variety of configurations to measure
around an object, to widen the measurement surface or to eliminate occlusions.
