6.11.4 Connecting signal source to X11

Requirements:
☐ The signal source must be technically suitable for connection to the digital inputs (see
Section 12, page 77).
☐ The connected digital signal source has a safe separation to the grid potential. When
connecting the digital signal source the potential-free contact or an external potential-free
contact is used.
☐ The connection cable is prepared for connection to the multipole connector (see Section 6.3,
page 30).
Procedure:
1. Connect the connection cable to the digital signal source (see the manual from manufacturer).
2. Connect the connection cable to the supplied 4-pole connector. Ensure that the conductors are
plugged completely into the terminal points up to their insulation.
3. Plug the 4-pole connector into the socket X11 on the product. Observe the pin assignment.
4. Ensure that the connector is securely in place.
