W Set mode description
< The set mode is used for programming infrequently
changed values or conditions of functions. This Push [SET]: ` `
transceiver has a P-set mode (Push-set mode) and eee ae EE
an H set mode (Hold-set mode) for 26 items in total |
for the 2 modes:
e Set mode operation
@ Push [SET] momentarily to select P-set mode or
push and hold [SET] for 2 sec. to select H-set
mode.
@) Push [ AUP] or [V DOWN] several times until the
desired item appears. Main dial [AUP]/[V DOWN]
-If a sub setting display is previously selected, the
desired item may not appear. Push [ENT] to exit the [DISPLAY EXAMPLE IN A SET MODE]
sub setting display.
@) Push [SET] to enter sub setting display on some
branch items.
- "PUSH SEt" appears for those branch items.
- Push [AUP] or [V DOWN] several times until the
desired item appears.
@ Rotate the main dial to set the values or condi-
tions for the selected item.
- For the sub setting displays, push [ENT] after setting
-to exit.
©) Repeat steps @)—@ to set other items.
© After all desired items are set, push [ENT] to exit
the set mode.
Wi P-set mode
(1) Display dimmer "brigHt"
You can select high or low intensity for the display
backlighting to suit lighting conditions and personal
preference. | High intensity (default)
High intensity is fixed but low intensity can be
adjusted. (p. 60)
Low intensity
(2) DSP unit activation "dSP unit"
DSP unit can be turned OFF, if desired.

- The noise reduction, DSP demodulation/modu- Qor d Puni k
lation, DSP filters, auto notch, auto APF, etc. do DSP unit OFF
not function.
- [AUTO] ([AF LPF]) activates the audio low-pass
filter.
