5.18.9 boot-system

Function
Switches the firmware to be used for the next startup of the XG1200.
Use this command only if a problem has occurred when you are using a new firmware.

Command syntax
boot-system { 1 | 2 }
Parameter
{ 1 | 2 }
Specifies a number of the firmware to be used after the next system startup.
The applicable firmware version can be checked by the "show system information" command.

Message
% Attempted to change to invalid firmware. Command failed.
Explanation
The previous firmware updating may not be completed normally and you cannot switch the firmware.
Solution
Update the firmware again.
If the error recurs, contact to the maintenance support personnel.
% 1$ in SRAM is invalid.
Explanation
Inconsistency of non-volatile (SRAM) memory data was found due to abended firmware updating or others.

Solution
"Restart the system using the "reset" command. Then, retry firmware updating.
If the error recurs, contact to the maintenance support personnel.
Example
Change the firmware to be used for the next system startup using the "boot-system" command.
Then, make sure that the firmware information (Next Startup Firmware) to be used for the next system startup has been
changed using the "show system information" command.
