Required Settings

correctly, the modem must be set as follows.
Setting
Fixed baud rate setting
RTS/CTS flow control
DCD to track the presence of a carrier
DTR off to hang-up modem
DSR always on
Modem to return modem-to-modem
data link speed
Note: Modem-to-modem data link speed.
Multi-port models requires this information for the
Bandwidth Utilization feature (in the Advanced
menu options) to function correctly. For some
Mircocom and other modems, the "ATX4" com-
mand above is not sufficient, and a non-standard
"W2" command (no "AT") must be used as well.
