Hardware Setup
There are two ways to attach the host system's serial port to the MegaRAC G2 card's
serial port.
•
Internally using a 9-pin ribbon cable
•
Externally using a null modem cable
Internal
One way is using a 9-pin ribbon cable as illustrated below:
Serial Over LAN
Plug one end of the 9-pin flat ribbon
cable into the MegaRAC G2's serial port
connector located at JP1
9-pin flat
ribbon cable
Plug in the other end
of the 9-pin flat ribbon
cable into the host
system's internal serial
port connector
