Firmware Flash Tab

The Firmware Flash tab allows you to flash the MegaRAC G2 cards firmware.
Note:
The firmware upgrade process is a crucial operation. Make sure that the chances of a
power or connectivity loss are minimal when performing this operation.
The Firmware Flash fields are explained in the table below:
Field/ Button
Description
Image File
The Image File field allows you to specify file name to be flashed. Left click the Browse
button to locate the firmware (*.IMA) update file.
Module Number
The Module Number field displays the module type.
Card Version
The Card Version field displays the current module version loaded on the MegaRAC G2
card.
File Version
The File Version field displays the new module version of the firmware update file.
Allocation Check
The Allocation Check field displays if there is enough space for the updated module on the
MegaRAC G2 card. If there is not enough space, then you must do a Complete Flash.
Browse Button
The Browse button allows you to locate the firmware (*.IMA) update file from the hard
disk drive, the floppy disk drive, or any other storage location.
Flash Button
The Flash button allows you to begin flashing the new firmware image to the MegaRAC
G2 card.
Note:
Exit Button
The Exit button allows you to log off the MegaRAC G2 Card Configuration.
Complete Flash
You can place a check in the box next to Complete Flash Mode to write the updated flash
Mode
image to the MegaRAC G2's firmware hub. By default, both options under it are enabled.
Include Boot Block
This option allows you write to the boot block section of the MegaRAC G2's firmware
hub.
Try to Retain
This option will attempt to save all of your MegaRAC G2's administrator settings.
