Chapter 1 Overview The New Hardware Wizard will discover the AMI Series 9XX SCSI Processor Device when you are running Microsoft Windows 2000 or later Operating Systems. This device is a SAF-TE (SCSI Accessed Fault-Tolerance Enclosures) processor that is used by the RAID or SCSI host controller to communicate drive status and other SAF-TE information. - Page 4 AMI_9XX.INF Installation, Method One, Continued Step Description When you see the following screen, place the StorTrends driver CD into your CD-ROM drive and then click the Next button: Click the Next button when you see the following: Continued Cont’d...

Note: If you have downloaded the AMI_9XX.INF file, place a check next to Specify a Location and select the directory that you saved the AMI_9XX.INF file to. After the New Hardware Wizard completes its search of the CD, the following window will appear.

See the Verify INF Installation section to verify that the AMI_9XX.INF file has been installed correctly. Method Two Open Device Manager. If the AMI Series 9XX SCSI Processor Device is listed as an Other Device or Unknown Device, you can update the drivers by following the instructions outlined in this section.

Once it loads the INF file, click the Finish button. See the Verify INF Installation section on the next page to verify that the AMI_9XX.INF file has been installed correctly.
