Moving the control lever 35° from N
(neutral) selects the gear, and further
movement increases engine speed.
A friction adjuster inside the control
box adjusts the operating resistance of
the control lever(s). Refer to p. 82.
Less friction allows easier control
lever movement. More friction helps
to hold a steady throttle setting while
cruising.
