Design and function

Strain gauges (S/G) have been mounted on the measuring body. The rotor
electronics for bridge-excitation-voltage and measuring-signal transmission is
located centrically in the flange. The transmitter coils for the non-contact
transmission of excitation voltage and measuring signal are located on the
measuring body's outer circumference. The signals are transmitted and
received by a divisible antenna ring. The antenna ring is mounted on a
housing that includes the electronic system for voltage adaptation and signal
conditioning. The torque flanges consist of two separate parts: the rotor and
the stator. The rotor includes the measuring body and the adapter flange.
The stator includes the 7-pin connector plug (Binder 723) for the torque signal
and the voltage supply. The antenna ring should be mounted concentrically
around the rotor (see chapter 3).
