Protective functions
4.4.1
Solid State Short Circuit Protection
USA: Integral solid state short circuit protection does
not provide branch circuit protection. Branch circuit pro-
tection must be provided in accordance with the Natio-
nal Electrical Code and any additional local codes.
Canada: Integral solid state short circuit protection does
not provide branch circuit protection. Branch circuit
protection must be provided in accordance with the
Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
4.4.2
Motor Overload Protection
The motor is protected by a dynamic current limitation (I*t)
which must be adjusted for each used type of motor. Infor-
mation on peak current, continuous current and permissi-
ble overload time are motor dependent.
The following parameters have to be set:
»
3224.00h - Mode (CURR_DynLimitMode)
»
3224.01h - Peak Current (CURR_DynLimitPeak)
»
3224.02h - Continuous Current (CURR_DynLimitCont)
»
3224.03h - Time (CURR_DynLimitTime)
The dynamic current limitation is set back to default with
power loss. Therefore the motor has to cool down to am-
bient temperature before restart. Cooling down times are
motor dependent. A restart without enough cooling down
time can damage the motor and drive controller even if the
dynamic current limiting is set properly. To set the parame-
ters please read the manual.

Schutzfunktionen
4.4.1
Halbleiterkurzschlussschutz
USA: Der integrierte Halbleiterkurzschlussschutz bietet
keinen Abzweigschutz. Der Schutz des Abzweigstrom-
kreises muss in Übereinstimmung mit dem National
Electrical Code und allen zusätzlichen örtlichen Vor-
schriften vorgesehen werden.
Kanada: Der integrierte Halbleiterkurzschlussschutz
bietet keinen Schutz für den Abzweigstromkreis. Ab-
zweigstromkreis
Abzweigschutz muss in Übereinstimmung mit dem Ca-
nadian Electrical Code, Teil I, vorgesehen werden.
4.4.2
Motorüberlastungsschutz
Der Motor wird durch eine dynamische Strombegren-
zung (I*t) geschützt, die für jeden verwendeten Motortyp
eingestellt werden muss. Die Angaben zu Spitzenstrom,
Dauerstrom und zulässiger Überlastzeit sind motorab-
hängig.
Die folgenden Parameter müssen eingestellt werden:
» 3224.00h - Mode (CURR_DynLimitMode)
» 3224.01h - Peak Current (CURR_DynLimitPeak)
» 3224.02h - Continuous Current (CURR_DynLimitCont)
» 3224.03h - Time (CURR_DynLimitTime)
Handbuch.
