6.11.1 Functional Earth

Note that protection from influence by
electromagnetic fields is not provided if
the shield is not earthed.
Cable shields must be low-inductive earthed on both

6.11.2 Protective Earth Conductor

There is no protective earth conductor.

Protective Grounding

No protective grounding necessary.
The system is designed exclusively for operation with pro-
tective extra-low voltages (PELV), grounding is provided
for functional reasons only (Functional grounding).
To avoid voltages applied to the housing
in the event of a fault, the motor housing
must be grounded.
For electrically isolated assembly, the motor housing

must be connected to the machine earth via a sepa-
rate earth connection.
Connect and earth the ground of the power and logic

supply at a defined location in the system.

Schutzerdung

Keine Schutzerdung notwendig.
Das System ist ausschließlich für den Betrieb mit Schutz-
kleinspannungen (PELV) vorgesehen, die Erdung ist
lediglich aus funktionalen Gründen vorgesehen (Funkti-
onserdung).
Um im Fehlerfall am Gehäuse anliegen-
de Spannungen zu vermeiden, muss
das Motorgehäuse geerdet werden.
Bei elektrisch isolierter Montage ist das Motorgehäuse

über eine separate Erdleitung mit der Maschinenerde
zu verbinden.
Verbinden und erden Sie die Masse der Leistungs-

und Logikversorgung an einer definierten Stelle im
System.
