Commissioning

When the power supply has been connected, the unit can
be switched on. The module is then open to access from
the software side.
For the connection between the Positioning Controller
and a PC you need the appropriate Stater Kit with adapter
cable and software.
7.1

Stand alone operation

For commissioning the software „Drive Assistant" is nee-
ded.
With the „Drive Assistant" control program, Dunkermotoren
provides a comprehensive software tool with which it is
possible to extensively configure the varius types of Mo-
tors. Via a parameterising intervace the softtware establis-
hes a connection with the motor and programs it with the
individual configuaration.
7.1.1

System Requirements

Operating system: Windows 2000, Windows XP Home,
Windows XP Pro, Vista , Windows 7. The installation files
for the „Drive Assistant" can eiter be loaded from the CD-
ROM of the supplied PI Starter-Kit or downloaded from the
Dunkermotoren Homepage.
7.1.2

Installation of Software Drive Assistant

Administrator privileges are necessary for the installation.
The installation menu will start automatically when you
insert the CD-ROM. Alternatively you can open the file
install.htm to open the installation menu. The program will
guide you through the installation routine. Go ahead with
the installation in case a warning notice concerning the
USB driver will pop up. After a successful installation, the
„Drive Assistant" can be started by the desktop link.

Inbetriebnahme

Ist die Spannungsversorgung hergestellt, kann das Gerät
eingeschaltet werden. Nun kann der softwareseitige Zugriff
auf das Modul erfolgen.
Für die Verbindung zwischen Positioniersteuerung unmd
PC benötigen Sie das passende Starter Kit mit Adapterka-
bel und Software

Stand alone Betrieb

Für die Inbetriebnahme ist die Software „Drive Assistant"
erforderlich
Mit dem Steuerungsprogramm „Drive Assistant" bietet
Dunkermotoren ein umfangreiches Softwaretool, mit dem
es möglich ist, verschiedene Typen vom Motoren umfang-
reich zu konfigurieren. Über eine Parametrierschnittstelle
stellt die Software die Verbindung mit den Motoren her und
programmiert diesen mit der infifiduellen Konfiguration.
7.1.1

Systemvoraussetzungen

Betriebssystem: Windows 2000, Windows XP Home,
Windows XP Pro, Vista , Windows 7. Sie können die
Installations-Dateien für den „Drive Assistant" entweder
von der mit dem PI Starter-Kit mitgelieferten CD-ROM
entnehmen oder von der Dunkermotoren Homepage
herunterladen.
7.1.2

Installation Software Drive Assistant

Zur Installation des Programms benötigen Sie Administra-
torrechte. Nach dem Einlegen der CD-ROM öffnet sich
das Installationsmenü automatisch. Sollte sich das Menü
nicht automatisch öffnen, öffnen Sie im Windows-Explorer
die sich auf der befindende Datei install.htm. Sie werden
nun durch das Installationsmenü geführt. Klicken Sie auf
„Installation fortsetzen", falls während der Installation ein
Warnhinweis bezüglich dem USB-Controller erscheint.
Nach erfolgreicher Installation kann der „Drive Assitant"
über die Desktop-Verknüpfung geöffnet werden.
