8.1 Local operation
Parameter view
Parameter view shows parameters, parameter values, and the wizards of the device.
Parameters are identified by name and organized into function groups. They are arranged
in a 5-level menu structure, and uniquely identified with a menu item number, as in the
example below.

In parameter view, the first level of the 5-level menu structure (entered by pressing right
arrow from operation view), is standardized for all Siemens Measurement Intelligence
devices and covers the following groups:

Description
Lists the most important parameters for quick configuration of the de‐
vice. All parameters in this view can be found elsewhere in the menu.
Contains all parameters which are needed to configure the device.
Contains parameters which affect the product behavior regarding main‐
tenance, diagnostics and service.
Examples: Verification, failure prediction, device health, data logging,
alarm logging, report, condition, monitoring, tests, etc.
Contains parameters which describe the communication settings of the
device.
Contains parameters which describe all security settings of the device.
