1
word (16 bits): 1 two-byte character or 2 one-byte characters
Max. 12 words: 12 two-byte characters or 24 one-byte characters
Note:
1 .
The designating devices must have consecutive numbers.
2.
High speed counters C235 through C255 are 32-bit devices and each point is
therefore equivalent to two words.
Size
Both one- and two-byte characters can be magnified by a factor of 1 to 4 times in the vertical
direction and in the horizontal direction.
Counting displayed ASCll objects
Maximum number of displayed ASCll objects: 10 per screen
A character string that occupies no more than one line and whose characters all have the
same magnification is counted as one object. Two-byte and one-byte characters can be
included in the same object.
Character attributes
Characters can be displayed normally or highlighted (white characters on a black background).
Designating ASCII characters
For details of ASCll codes, refer to pages 134 of Appendix 2.
User defined characters
The user defined characters created using the screen creation software can also be displayed
using the ASCll object.
The user defined characters are 16 bit characters and the codes are HF040 to HFOCO.
