Symbols used to indicate operation keys

The symbol used to indicate an FX-40DU-E operation key in the text of this manual is

rectangular box is used in diagrams.

When the cursor keys [ A ] and [

] are to be used, the symbol [

(3) The following symbol is used when the same key is to be pressed a number of times in succession.

Continuous input from one of the cursor keys is achieved by holding the key down for longer than
one second.
( 5 ) When inputting numerical values, the symbol [

] for example, is used to indicate that any

inclusive may be input.

] key is indicated in the text of this manual when it has to be used to specify device
numbers, change word devices, etc. When a function is to be set this is indicated in the text by
the symbol [SET] and when a negative numerical value is to be input this is indicated in the text
by a minus symbol 1-1.

written prompt is to be selected, the currently displayed prompt is highlighted.
