7. EDlT MODE
7.1
Outline of the EDlT MO
The EDlT MODE is used to perform the following two major functions:
(a) Modification, addition, and deletion of the objects used for display and control in the USER
SCREEN MODE.
(b) Changing the contents of data banks.
This chapter will focus on explaining the procedures used to edit screens that have already been
created, but this mode also allows for the creation of new screens.
(For details on objects, see Chapter
4.

USER SCREEN
Used for screen editing; objects can be modified, added, or deleted, either i n editing common to
all screens (common setting) or in editing specific to an individual screen.
Common setting
Used to modify, add, or delete SWITCH, DATA BANK, and CHANGE SCREEN objects that
can be set from all screens.
Individual screen editing
Used to modify, add, or delete TEXT, ASCII, NUMBER, BAR GRAPH, LAMP, LAMP (EXT),
LINE, BOX, CIRCLE, DATE, TIME, SWITCH, DATA BANK, and CHANGE SCREEN objects
in individual screens.
In the case of TEXT, NUMBER. BAR GRAPH, LAMP, LINE, BOX, and CIRCLE objects, the
display position and size can also be changed.
In the case of SWITCH, DATA BANK, and CHANGE SCREEN objects, settings such as
control devices can be changed.

DATA BANK
The contents of data banks can be changed.
Note:
.
The number of data banks and the allocation of data registers is determined b y the
screen creation software. In the EDlT MODE, all that can be changed is the data in
each data bank.
Editing is easier and faster when using the screen creation software.
