The shift lever must be set to PARK or NEUTRAL.

For your convenience, an override mode allows the engine to be

started with the shift lever in any position. Press and hold the brake

lever or the brake pedal while pressing the engine start button.

Insert key in ignition switch and turn to ON position or ensure D.E.S.S.

key is installed on D.E.S.S. post.

Set the engine stop switch to RUN.

Press the engine start button and hold until the engine starts.

Release the engine start button immediately when the engine has

started.
