To fully appreciate the pleasures and excitement of riding this vehicle,
there are some basic rules and tips that you MUST follow. Some may
be new to you while others may be common sense or obvious.
Please take the time to study this Operator's Guide and all on-product
safety labels as well as the safety video that came with this vehicle.
They more completely describe what you should know about this ve-
hicle before riding it.
Whether you are a new user or an experienced rider, it is important for
your personal safety that you know the controls and features of this
vehicle. Equally important is knowing how to properly ride.
This is a high performance ATV for off-road use only. Inexperienced
riders may overlook risks and be surprised by the specific behavior of
this ATV in any terrain condition.
If a road usage is allowed in your area, operate your vehicle on paved
surface only for short distance and for the only purpose of moving the
vehicle from an off-road usage to another. Always operate your ve-
hicle at low speed (never exceed 40 km/h (25 MPH) and reduce the
speed before making a turn.
Always respect all road traffic laws when operating your vehicle on
public roads or streets. If you have to cross a road, the lead driver
should get off his vehicle the observe and give direction to the other
riders. The last person after crossing then assists the lead driver to
cross.
Do not travel on sidewalks. They are designated for pedestrian use.
Information in this Operator's Guide is limited. It is strongly recom-
mended that you obtain further information and training from your local
authorities, ATV clubs, a recognized ATV training organization or con-
tact an authorized Can-Am Off-road dealer.
We recommend following the age recommendation indicated on the
safety label affixed on the unit. Even though a person may be within
the age group for which this vehicle is recommended, he may not have
the skills, abilities, or judgment needed to operate this vehicle safely
and may be involved in a serious accident.
Individuals with cognitive or physical impairments or who are high risk
takers have an increased exposure to overturns or collisions which
may result in injury including death.
This vehicle is designed specifically to carry an operator only. Even
with a long seat that provides unrestricted operator movements, it is
not designed nor intended to carry passenger(s).
NEVER install an aftermarket passenger seat on a 1-UP models or
use the racks to carry a passenger(s). Carrying passenger(s) may af-
fect the stability and your control of the vehicle.
