SECONDARY CONTROLS
The keypad is located on the upper
console.

The override switch is located above
the D.E.S.S. post.
The override switch is used to:
– Bypass the engine speed limiter in
reverse by allowing maximum en-
gine torque. Refer to Entering the
Override Mode .
– Temporarily deactivate the elec-
tronic drive belt protection (if avail-
able and activated on your model).
– Erase the MAINTENANCE RE-
QUIRED message, refer to 4.5"
Digital Display or to 7.6" Digital
Display (Keypad) .
– Allow the vehicle to be driven in
the eventuality of an accelerator
pedal failure. Refer to Entering the
Manual Limp Home Mode .

Press and hold the override switch to

Release the override switch to exit the
bypass mode.

If one or both the pedal position sen-
sor(s) is (are) defective, the accelera-
tor pedal will not respond.
Depending on the type of failure,
pressing and holding the Override
Switch, will temporarily restore the re-
sponse of the pedal OR temporarily
increase the engine speed to be able
to drive the vehicle.
Releasing the Override Switch will re-
lease the throttle and let the engine re-
turn to idle speed.

The winch can be controlled from in-
side and outside the vehicle with the
winch control switch located in the
upper console.
