3.4 Managing equipment types and models

Adding new equipment profiles
If you verify Kemppi welding machines, all the equipment profiles will be available on the DataStick when you start. If
you verify other manufacturer's machines, you can create the profiles yourself.
To add new equipment profiles for non-Kemppi equipment:
1. Click the Equipment button on the top of the window to open the Equipment view.
2. Click the New equipment profile button.
>> The Add new equipment profile window opens.
3. Fill in the information on the manufacturer, equipment model and the product code.
4. Select the welding process used: MIG/MAG, MMA or TIG.
5. Depending on the welding process, specify the minimum and maximum values for current or voltage. Adding mul-
tiple welding processes into one equipment profile can be done by selecting Add new welding process.
6. When you are done, click Save to save the changes and close the window.
Explanations:
Product code / number
© Kemppi
The welding equipment model identifier. Note that this refers to
the model information used as a tag for this equipment profile.
(This is not a device-specific unique identifier such as a serial
number.)
