Secure dialing permits you to establish asecure link by dialing an extension
number without intenmpting the secure link. The location called must meet
certain conditions (i.e. RED switch) for this function to work.
Once you establish asecure link (voice or data), you should hear asecond¬
ary dial tone and then dial the desired extension number. When you stop
dialing for two seconds, the terminal sends the digits, up to 15 at atime, to
the RED switch. When the terminal sends these digits, it erases them from
the display. The terminal allows secure dialing with any combination of
full/half duplex or voice/data modes.
Use the following procedure for secure dialing.
