The Key Management Center (KMC) transmits Compromised Information
Messages (CIMs) to the SECTEL 1500. The CIM contains special updated
information from the KMC or another terminal with amore recent version
of the CIM. The terminal displays the following message when it contains a
CIM prompt:

You can dial, talk, or go secure without viewing the CIM prompt. The ter¬
minal requires that you insert avalid CIK before it allows you to read the
CIM prompt. For more information, contact the cognizant security person.
Use the following procedure to view the CIM.
@Insert the CIK. Turn it one-quarter turn clockwise.
@
Press IscrollI to read the CIM.
(T) Press IclearI to erase the CIM.
N O T E
When you establish asecure call with another STU III terminal, the other STU III
terminal may send an updated CIM. Upon receipt of the updated CIM, the SECTEL
1500 beeps to inform you of the successful receipt of the updated CIM.
