Processor Reset
inthe rarecasewhere the unit'soperaSon or the dis
plays seemabnormal, thecausemayinvolve theerratic
operaSon of tne system's m emory or microprocessor.
Tocorrect t hisproblem, firstunplug the unitfromthe
ACwalloutletandwaitat least3 minutes. Afterthe
pause, r econnect theAC power cordandcheckthe
unit'soperation. If thesystem stillmalfunctions, a
system resetmaydearthe problem.
Toclearthe AVR635's enllresystemmemory includ-
ingtunerpresets, outputlevel s ettings, delaytimesand
speaker c onfiguration data,firstputthe unitinStandby
by pressing t he Standby/OnSwitch Ell Next,press
andholdthe SurroundMode GroupSelector[]
andthe TuningMode Selector[] buttons forthree
seconds.
Theunitwill turnon automatically anddisplay the
RE SE 1"message inthe UpperDisplayLine [],
NOTE: R esetting t heprocessor w illeraseanyconfigu-
rationsettings youhavemadeforspeakers, output
levels, s urround modes, d igital i nputassignments as
wellas thetunerpresets. Aftera reset t he unitwillbe
returned t o the facton/presets, andall seltings for
theseitemsmustbe reentered.
Ifthe system is stilloperallng incorrecfly, theremay
havebeenanelectronic d ischarge o r severn AC line
interterence thathascorrupted t he memory or
microprocessok
