Inaddition to having the testtonecirculate automati
cally, y oumayalsoturnthetesttoneon, butadvance
it fromonechannel to the nextmanually. Thisallows
youto makecalibration a djustments, but to havemore
control o verthe waythetesttoneis moved among
the channels.
Tochange the tonemanually, firstmakecertain that

throughout the adjustment process,
Theoutputlevels mayalsobe adjusted at anytime
usingthe remote control a ndsembOSD system. To
adjusttheoutputlevelsinthisfashion, p ressthe Test
Button 0, Assoonasthe buttonis pressed, the
testtonewill beginto circulate asindicated earlieL The
correct c hannel fromwhichthetestnoiseshouldbe
heardwill beshowninthe lowerthirdof the video
screen andinthe Lower DisplayLine _'lj. Whilethe
testnoiseis circulating, the properchannel position
willalsobeindicated inthe Speaker/Channel I nput
Indicators[] bya blinking letterwithinthe correct
channel.
Toadjusttheoutputlevel, p ressthe A/V Navigation
Button _ untilthe desired level i s showninthedis
playor on screen. O nce the buttons arereleased, the
testnoisewillbeginto circulata againinfiveseconds.
Whenallchannels havethe sameoutputlevel,press
the TestButton 0 againto complete the process.

Additional InputAdjustments
Afteroneinputhasbeenadjusted forSurround mode,
digitalinput(ifany),speaker t ype,andoutputlevels,
go backto the IN/OUT SETUP lineon the
MAS T E R MEN U (Figure 1) andenterthe set-
tingsfor eachinputthatyouwill use,In mostcases,
onlythe digitalinputandsurround modewillbe differ
ent fromoneinputto the next,whilethe speaker t ype,
crossover frequency, Nightmodeandoutputlevel
settings will usually bethe sameandmaybe quickly
entered by entering thesamedatausedfor the
original i nput.
Oncethe settings outlined on the previous p ageshave
beenmade, t heAVR635 isreadyforoperation. While
then aresomeadditional settings t o be made, t hese
arebestdoneafteryou havehadan opportunity t o lis
ten to a variety of sources anddifferent k indsof pro-
grammaterial. These advanced settings a redescribed
on pages36 and37 of thismanual. I n addillon, a ny
of the settings madeinthe iniSal c onfiguration of the
unitmaybe changed at anytime.Asyouaddnewor
different s ources or speakers or if youwishto change
a settingto betterreflect y ourlistening taste, s imply

parameter asshowninthissection.
